How To Choose Your Grind

  • Whole Bean (best for freshness; grind at home)
  • Coarse (ideal for French press & cold brew)
  • Medium (great for drip & pour-over)
  • Fine (perfect for espresso)

Bulk bags available in whole bean only.

Whole Bean vs. Ground

Once coffee is ground, it begins to lose its natural flavor within 20–30 minutes. Grinding just before brewing helps preserve freshness and complexity in every cup.

Tip: Lightly mist beans with water before grinding to reduce static.

Our Responsi-Bean Promise

Certifications can tell you a lot, but they don’t always reflect the care of small-scale farmers. At Shepherd’s Crook Coffee, we recognize that not every great farmer can afford the regulatory hoops of USDA certification. That’s why we source only the highest-quality, responsibly-produced beans—grown with care, respect for the land, and strong fair- or direct-trade relationships.

Our Responsi-Bean Promise means every cup reflects this commitment: ethical sourcing, sustainable practices, and a focus on flavor you can feel good about.
